We picked up SK and went to Grand Haven today. The stated intent was to go to Grand Haven to see sand sculptures. We accomplished our goal and since we were in the area, we stopped at Crockery Creek Saloon in Nunica for some Creek Cheeks (lightly dusted, flash-fried pike / perch cheeks). On the way out of Crockery Creek Saloon we saw a caboose in a park. It was a historic caboose at the Nunica Junction Trail Head. Apparently there are nearly 30 miles of trails meeting up at this park in Nunica. We left Nunica and made a quick trip to Holland State Park to watch some kites, waves, people, and boats before we returned home.
