It was a beautiful Thursday night, so we decided to go for a walk and see what we could find.
Our first stop was Bysterveld Park in Dorr. We stopped with memories of great bird sightings there last April.
We didn’t see much on Thursday, but it was a nice walk and the birds were singing everywhere. We just didn’t see them. Here are some shots of birds that we saw there last April.
After a short walk at Bysterveld Park, we decided to investigate a Nature Preserve in Allegan that we had never visited. We headed to Armintrout-Milbocker Nature Preserve and walked a little over a mile. There are plenty of trails that we did not explore. We will definitely return. It was a beautiful walk near the Kalamazoo River. Once again, the wildlife was not posing for us. Bird checklists from eBird not only document bird sightings. They also make a great record of walking paths.
